Some prints follow the plan. This one had other ideas.
Inspired by the unapologetic spectacle of ’90s pop culture, this experimental portrait reimagines Tonya Harding through a riot of neon color, bold contrast, and gritty DIY printmaking.
Created using image transfer and layered gel plate printing, this piece embraces the unpredictable nature of handmade art. Hot pink, electric blue, acid yellow, and imperfect ink textures collide in a portrait that feels like a punk zine pulled from an alternate timeline.
The transfer didn’t go perfectly. The paint didn’t all land where it was supposed to. And somewhere in the mess, something interesting happened.
Part pop-culture curiosity, part printmaking experiment, this one-of-a-kind piece celebrates the beauty of making things by hand — mistakes and all.
From The Misprint Cabinet
Original experimental gel plate print
Handmade using layered acrylic paint and image-transfer techniques
Unique color variations, textures, and imperfections
One of a kind, this exact print won’t be replicated
A note from the studio: This print has visible areas of incomplete paint transfer and irregular texture. These are part of its experimental character and are reflected in its listing and price.
Not perfect. Not ordinary. Entirely Strange Little Press.
